A new dawn of joy has arisen for some of the local farmers in Xai-Xai in the form of support to their farming from COGEF Group in collaboration with Amurt Mozambique.
The project has been started with a simple opening ceremony attended by local leaders, representative of the donor, representatives of AMURT Moz, 24 local farmers (consisting of widows and less capable farmers) and some local activists.
This project will uplift the economy of the farmers as well as the feeding of 123 children in Ngululene and Xai-Xai by producing local crops, such as rice, ground nuts, vegetables, casava, maize and sweet potatoes.
